The world is an ever-changing place. Just as there are so many new and exciting things waiting to be discovered, there are also the looming concerns that come with them. As we seek to make the right choices, there are always doubts and uncertainties that come with them. More than ever before, it can be difficult to navigate through the maze of options before us and to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Deciding to start a family is no different, and there are so many options especially when it comes to adopting a child. It can be scary and confusing and one might wonder if it’s the right thing to do or if it’s the right time. Just as anything meaningful in life, there are ups and downs, tears of joy, and tears of sadness. However, it’s important to remember that anything that is worth having, is worth fighting for, and these twists and turns are both necessary and part of the journey to ready you for the very thing you are praying for. Just as God helped and guided Mary through carrying our Lord and Savior, just as he led the Israelites through the wilderness, He’ll surely help and guide you through the selfless and compassionate act of adoption. Just as she was confused and unsure of what tomorrow brought, not knowing the fullness of who she was carrying, she remained faithful to the One who found her worthy of this responsibility.
Knowing and focusing on the truth that if God gave you the wonderful desire to adopt, He’ll surely fulfill it. understanding that following Him is to take care of the widows and orphans as mentioned in the bible many times, and He let not one sheep fall astray. To receive the blessing of adopting a child is also being a blessing to all those involved. For the birth mother, knowing that her child is going into caring and loving hands means the world to her and to the child who will grow up in a happy and Christ-centered environment. Focusing on the truth that it will all be worth it and that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him will help you stay focused when life becomes uncertain.
